Snare/Tom: These two dynamic mics have close frequency responses, delivering full spectral coverage, especially when you apply them to snare and toms. The DMI.101's provide a wide, broad, pick-up pattern, while tighter results are achieved with the DMI.102's having a super-cardioid pickup pattern, effective when isolation is a critical concern. The DMI.101 is excellent for simultaneously miking more than one drum, or a string or percussive instrument requiring a broader pickup area.
